How did you get into the yacht business?
Yachting has always been in my family and a big passion of ours, I guess you could say it was inevitable.
What was your first job in the yacht business?
I was a data entry clerk in the accounting office of Lazzara Yachts in Tampa Bay while putting myself through University. I remember I was 19 years old and just got back to the U.S from a trip back home to the UK, and landed an unexpected interview on short notice and showed up without a Resume. I did, however, take my most recent grades from college; A's in finance 1 and economics 1, I landed the job on the spot. Had I taken my Calculus or Statistics grades I wouldn't have been so lucky. That was my first sale in the Yacht Business.
What brought you to Nautikos and Sunseeker?
In late 2010, and after 15 truly amazing years with Lazzara, I had an opportunity to transition from management into yacht sales. Little did I know at the time this would be one of the best decisions of my career.
What was your first new Sunseeker yacht sale?
A 63 Manhattan in 2011. To this day, I have tremendous gratitude to my first clients, that sale opened many doors for me.
What is your favorite Sunseeker?
lol.. The last one we sold of course!! All jokes aside, from the slightly older models, I love the Predator 60 from around 2011/12, the lines and the layout made it the perfect weekend boat for South Florida and the Med, classic Sunseeker. From the current line-up, I would certainly go with the 116 Yacht; hands down. In addition to being breathtaking from every angle and blows everything in her class out of the water, she is a large volume yacht with a tremendous amount of interior and exterior space. A truly remarkable achievement to combine a sleek and aggressive look without compromising space and utility.
What are you focused on now?
We are a customer-centric organization, everything we do starts and ends with the customer. We are focused on the growth of new and pre-owned sales across the board while maintaining our bespoke approach to yacht brokerage. We are not a big box dealer where you are herded like cattle through the transaction. We believe that the process of buying or selling a luxury yacht should be an enjoyable part of the experience.
